About This Quote

In this story, there is a little boy waiting at a restaurant for his friend to finish eating. The waiter is rather short but the boy has been told that he must tip this waiter. When the waiter brings the bill, the little boy's eyebrows wander about his forehead in confusion. He paid for a lot of expensive things with his hard-earned money and yet he couldn't really find any reason to leave a tip. He is confused about what he should do so he decides to keep his eyes closed as the waiter brings the bill, hoping that the waiter will just decide on his own that it’s time to leave a tip.
